Lakos high volume pre-filtration for steel mill slag

FSI Canton is a distributor for Lakos, which is the world’s largest manufacturer of centrifugal separators.   A centrifugal separator is an excellent pre-filtration option prior to final polishing filters like bags or cartridges when you have to remove high specific gravity solids.  It has no moving or wearing parts and the separator can potentially last almost forever if sized correctly.  This system was designed to filter over a million gallons of water with metal slag at a steel mill before final filtration through a 12-bag multiround housing.  Give us a call on the bags or bag housings as well, but don’t hesitate to check us out if there’s an opportunity for pre-filtration to benefit your process.
